Bonsai For Beginners

The Hunter - bonsai ( cara - cara membuat bonsai dari pohon liar )

A maple bonsai has the same care rules as a fully grown maple of the same species. In addition to this, a maple bonsai needs additional care due to the fact that it is grown in such a small pot. Root maintenance and potting of the tree are two aspects not typically dealt with for maples, as these trees are usually grown to their full size.

When you are selecting bonsai soil, there are a few things that you need to keep in mind, regardless of whether or not you are an experienced grower. Bonsai trees require quick draining soil that maintains its shape in order to stay alive. Due to the small amount of space that a bonsai has to work with, if you do not have good soil, root rot is much more likely to occur.

Unlike other variety of fig plants, the banyan bonsai is not edible. The banyan bonsai is preferred by many, as it is easy to care for and shape compared to many of the other different types of bonsais available on the market. This is due to the fact that the banyan bonsai grows in a way that is conducive to bonsai design and styling.

Most bonsai trees will be grown in pots with drainage holes that permit excess moisture from pooling inside the pot and causing root rot. Many growers will use mesh over these holes to prevent pests from entering the pot from the bottom and keep loose soil in the pot. If you are interested in growing bonsai trees, you should ensure that you live in a good region for the types of trees you want to grow, or you focus on purchasing an indoor variety of bonsai.

When you secure a branch with bonsai wire, it is important that you do not damage the tree so badly the branch breaks or the wire cuts into the bark of the tree. Both of these problems will permanently damage the appearance of the tree. Bonsai wire should only be left in position long enough for the tree to be trained to the proper form.

These trees are typically five to seven years old and have had their basic shape already tended to by a bonsai tree artist. These trees are easier to take care of than shaping and designing your own tree, but are also more restrictive on what can be done with them. These trees are good for beginners who want to learn how to care for a bonsai tree without investing several years in designing the tree.
